now that we're really starting to get into the swing of all things fall, we'd be remiss not to state the obvious beauty trend that emerges this time every year: red lips! but just as designers manage to tweak their styles and trick us into thinking that last year's riding pant won't stand par against this year's jodhpurs, the beauty industry creates a "new" red for us to covet. and this year red happens to be the new red. as opposed to the burgundy-hued lips we've seen in the past, fall's red is fresh and revitalizing. some of our favorites include m.a.c.'s ruffian red, which was created in collaboration with design duo ruffian, nars jungle red and laura mercier mistress. whether you want a look that's pure drama or something a little more demure, your perfect shade is out there waiting to be discovered.
