after last year's madness over the ubiquitous bootie, we're feeling a little confused this fall. are we really supposed to do the bootie thing again...and how are we wearing them this time? the good news is that, yes, you can still do the "bootie thing" without looking dated. this year designers have put a little more edge on the look, whether through biker inspiration (as you've seen in all the magazines) or architectural details like alexander wang's natasha bootie (pictured above).
another one of fall's conundrums is what shoe to wear with the cropped pant. to make it easy on you, we'll say the bootie. or if you feel like adding the next "it" look to your shoe arsenal, go with the oxford, a la kate moss (above). from kate's simple black to spectator, gold, silver, and even a red-hot pair we spotted on topshop.com, the oxford is getting some serious action and is on-trend for the season.
