katie holmes and her stylist jeanne yang are all set to debut their new line this fall, holmes & yang, which includes womens- and childrenswear. we already love the line based on the sneak peak katie has given us (above), and considering her daughter suri's closet, the children's clothes should create quite a stir on the playground. the only drawback? the line will be sold exclusively at maxfield in los angeles, and it's a long way to melrose avenue from here...

don't stop believin'

from the creator of nip/tuck comes glee...our latest fall obsession. the pilot has us hooked with a cast of characters ranging from the obsessive starlet to the humble quarterback to the optimistic teacher, who all manage to inspire our inner-underdog. this isn't high school musical, but you may find yourself singing along to tomes such as amy winehouse's "rehab" and the journey classic "don't stop believin."


if the entire 13-episode season remains as captivating as the pilot, you'll know where to find us wednesday nights...

after last year's madness over the ubiquitous bootie, we're feeling a little confused this fall. are we really supposed to do the bootie thing again...and how are we wearing them this time? the good news is that, yes, you can still do the "bootie thing" without looking dated. this year designers have put a little more edge on the look, whether through biker inspiration (as you've seen in all the magazines) or architectural details like alexander wang's natasha bootie (pictured above).
